Dr. Assam Medical College

AMC: As an attendant's point of view Established as the first medical college of Assam in 1947, it has been serving not only patients from Assam but also from nearby states. I took a patient there with fractured femur and tibia. After getting the ticket from OPD, we were assigned a bed at the Orthopedics Department. Positives: The doctors took care of the patient immediately and visited twice daily. They were available almost all the time. Nurses were also quite friendly with us and helped us in every way possible. Treatment was quite reasonably priced as it is a government hospital. I kept my bike outside all night for two weeks, but the security guy did his duty 24 hours, every day! Negatives: Some doctors were really, really discourteous. Most of them were students, and at times, they were confused with what they were doing. They made mistakes, and they consulted with their guides about all the queries. Hygiene is one of the big issues. The toilet was full of water for 2 days without any cleaning. Very limited drinking water facilities is also a major concern. Request: There is an urgent need for an X-ray facility in the Orthopedics Department so that patients with broken body parts do not need to move to other departments just for that only. It was a painful experience. I sincerely thank the whole AMC team for their effort. It was a learning experience.

Assam Medical College and Hospital was named on 3rd November,1947 which is the first Medical College in North East India and in Assam obviously. It is located in Dibrugarh in the middle of tea garden and beside Brahmaputra River. It was earlier known as Berry White Medical School founded in the year 1900. Its emergency services run in casualty had in all other departments. It is a prestigious medical college with good academic activities every year. Spread over a large area it has hostel and canteen facilities.

I don't know that guy nme but that guy one eye sequence.. he was full drunk how can he join duty with full drunk it's not checking growing what a jok it's assam medical collage ... Why it's happening who will reponse this one ... Shift incherged or what ... But it's joking .. other person came with some serus conditions and some staff joking... Please kick out him ASAP

i went to this hospital for sterilization of wife. Doctor they operate my wife live without giving any anesthesia, my wife was crying with pain , after instant operation they discharged and when i come back home, my wife abdominal pain started and again I went to another hospital, there she was hospitalized, after test , she was having infection in her abdomen, i have suffer a lot and spent a lot on medicine , and my wife she suffered more then me .... such a bad experience , Hated

Not good at all. Rude behavior of Security stuff. And searching departments too annoying for new people. I found only 3 or 4 building are clean and clear, and all are so dirty. Annoying hospital.

Assam medical College is a high rated institute for medical science. It is one of the best medical colleges & hospitals in the northeast. It is the 1st medical College in the northeast. It has 200 government MBBS seats. It also has more than 170 government Post Graduate Seat According to the year 2024-2025. It is located in barbari in sepon district Dibrugarh .

I came from tezu for treatment of my grandfather, doctors are good nurse as well but the security guy they are very rude. Don't know how to talk so what if we came from Arunachal we are also a human being they need to talk politely. so much discrimination for arunachalee... ENT DEPARTMENT morning shift security should be change doesn't deserve the post...
